I have a vbulletin forum going, and I need i have 2 skins installed... I want to add 3-4 more skins and I want my hacks to work with the new ones... Do i have to re-install hacks or something to get them to work?
Also if anyone is very knowledgeable in vb and wanna help me out for free, that would be great! I am an idiot in these things...

I have several hacks installed on a vB I have and a couple were custom jobs that we did specifically for the forum itself. I had to reapply the hack across all five themes, along with each time we upgraded.

So, yes.. most likely you will need to install it on all themes. I'm pretty good with them, but I just don't have nearly enough time to actually do them right now. I've been sick for nearly 10 days.

However, if you haven't found someone within a week, let me know.

why would hacks have anything to do with themes?

hacks modify the code to change/add features.

I don't see HOW you could apply a hack to a theme.

It depends on the hack itself. For example, there are hacks that apply to the postbit functions in vB that for whatever reason don't work globally when applied to the main source code, only to the individual templates.

Honestly though insaneraptor, I would wait until after the release of vB 3 before doing anything major to your board. It looks like there's going to be major changes to the core code and it's questionable how easily a heavily hacked forum will be upgraded.

lol my board is xtremly heavily hacked already! I am just trying to add more skins and modifiying templates AGAIN.. and i dont know how to do it :(

Give me a week to catch up on some work and I'll take a look into it for you. I'll be pretty out of it after Monday after I have a tooth extracted. :(

You should be able to do it insaneraptor,
Just install the hacks but only in the directory for each theme, you just install like you would any other hack but if its specific to any file in a template folder you will have to edit/add the file in every folder,
