I remember reading on here somewhere, that people find it discouraging or lying, when they mention how many countries they have provided hosting service to. I am redesigning our site, and was curious if this was true. Because we hosting 2500+ customers, and just under 20% are international to the United States. Below our logo, I have stated, "Now hosting over 50 Countries". Will this discourage customers? We currently host 55 Countries, but do want to make the right move here on the design. If you have any opinions, please do respond.
Thank You

Hi J. That was me. Call me old fashion, but I believe in honest advertising. When I read web companies claiming to have clients from 120+ countries, I would quickly avoid them or would start doing some research to find if their claims are valid.
The US government currently recognizes 191 countries, but some organizations list 192. Given that much of these nations are third world, I find it even harder to believe the 120+ figure. Again, it's possible some companies have this many, but I don't know how the small new companies, with a year or less in business, can quickly make this claim.
Also, there's a report that showed statistics on Internet usage around the world. The report listed less than 80 countries. Either no data was available for the remaining 40+ countries or the Internet usage was insignificant or non-existence.
Now, in your case, I would be more ready to accept your claim that you have customers from over 50 countries. It’s more real, but that’s my opinion. Alas, almost any host can claim any number as they wish. It’s too bad there isn’t an agency to monitor the truthfully of web host’s advertisements. If there is, we can eliminate many bad hosts and thus save a lot of folks money and headaches.

With three dupes in there, it is 56 now.
I really do wish other businesses would make it easier for us to promote, but hey, thats the success of business. To wipe the other out. Corporate America has affected our businesses. Ourselves, respect the decisions of other hosting companies to an extent. Provide Support within a reasonable amount of time, and with support, provide them with satisfactory explanations along with respectable results in our customers server performance.
We are Americans, and we do not follow the results of Corporate America. We actually respect that we work from our homes. Is there less Support? No.
Is there less overall Customer Service? No.
We are simple people, who do not know the ways of Corporate America, and our customers are satisfied with it.
I may have run away from the subject here, but I am running tiresome of Corporate America ruining an opportunity for us. Is this going to change anything?? No
But at least I was able to voice my opininion.
Thank You for your Time

Thanks for your honesty.
As a follow up, I decide to do a search on host claiming 120+. I came across one claiming 150 countries. Being nosey, I did some research and noticed this site's hosting plans and FAQ were nearly identical to another site. I won't name names cause I don't want to offend anyone (in case that person/organization visit this board). Even the claim of number of websites in 150 countries was identical to the second site. The only difference is the first one is charging a much higher price.
