I got an email notification that someone had posted a reply to the "beware of gearhost" thread, but when i click on the link I get an error stating that I am not authorised to view this thead. And i can't find it anywhere on the forums.
Was it deleted, if so why?

If you want to know the answer to that, you'll need to ask a mod.
And, if you want to ask a mod, you'll want to use the email link that's at the bottom of every page.

My WAG, they deleted the thread because of some charge or another.
I think that's the one where the word "slanderous" was used in two posts. Of course, the posters meant libelous, one can hardly commit slander in writing.

it went to a place where all old thread's go to die... :bawling:
Pm mods or email them (bottom of the screen, for email)

hehe, it doesn't suprise me that the thread was deleted. there were some very unjust comments about gearhost. They probably asked for the thread to be removed.
Anyway thanks people.

the guy that posted that string... posted like two of them at the same time. Instead of making a point or telling a story he basically said bad things about GearHost without telling (clearly) why.
The post should have been deleted... it was the right thing to do.

The mods have a hidden section of the board where they "throw" threads like that.
It allows them to remove the thread, but still be able to review it, etc....
It's still on WHT, but the reason you received that error message is because you don't have access to that forum.

No justification for the comments, multiple posts basically saying the same thing (much about nothing). I tossed it. We try to be extremely loose about what we allow to be posted here, as we all know people have a story to tell. That thread was reported by Gearhost, and in looking at all this user's posts, I felt that all his posts were "off a quarter turn" and they were all removed. As I said, we do try to be loose as to what is allowed, but those posts went beyond loose.

Yeah I thought it was removed for that reason chicken, this sort of thing does seem to be getting more frequent sadly. where a customer heads for these forums just to slag their host off with no justification what so ever.
Well i hope gearhost weren't too damaged by one person being an idiot.
