View Full Version : hosturbo - any opinions?

I'm looking at their "Plan I", details below. The price seems right, but I'm a believer in the "you get what you pay for" mantra, so I have reservations...but for $20, what have I got to lose?

Currently, I use a DNS re-direct which goes back to the space my ISP gives me. It more-or-less meets my needs, but this (with more functionality) is about 1/2 the price.

Any opinions?

Well, I never heard of them. The features for the money looks pretty good, and if they have a refund policy, like you said, not much to loose to give it a try. Give them a call, see if they answer, and if they are helpful. That would be one step.

I think the people is or are based in India, since they have an Indian address there. Although they have a 646 number, but anyone can get a U.S. number for free.

CWIhosting,

They don't (yet, they say) have a "x day money-back guarantee", but if all I'm out is $20...well, I can live with that.

And as ebird states, their business office is located in Dehli, India, but their server is located at Burst.net's Scranton, PA NOC.

Any opinions, experiences, thoughts, etc?

Well, if you give them a try, then you'll know as your not worried about the $20. If things do go wrong, it may be much harder as they are out of the USA. Have you called them already?

The Hosturbo owner is a member in the forum here (koolguru). :)

CWIhosting,

By the time I called India and got enough answers, it would probably run me at least $20, so I'm thinking about just throwing down the money and hoping from the best.

Kiwi,

Yeah...that's how I found out about them...but would like to get some opinions as numerous web searches turn up nothing, probably as they are a newer company.

But apparently this forum is more directed to (or populated by) web hosts, rather than the users, so it will probably be harder to get opinions.

Thanks again.

Actually, we used to have very few hosts here, but over the past year more hosts have come, and members who used to be regular users have become hosts, so now we're pretty well stocked with both.

so far so good! I just signed up with them. great features. The shopping cart doesn't work right but I contacted them and received a response within an hour or two that they are working to fix the problem.

i could tell you it is slow as accessing your site which is hosted with hosturbo is slow when loading it up, i think they should take the turbo out of hosturbo, and then that name will fit there hosting speed :D

Listen joshivivek...

Jedito had a very good point. Almost every single post I see that came from you is an attack on someone in some form or another. Please read your own posts!

I'm with Jedito, only thing I've seen you do on these forums so far is attack hosts. Calling them a Tacid in the making is pretty bad.
