What are you talking about, he asked you for a IP address for your uunet facility, because your tracert shows that you arent in a uunet facility at all.....

Right now, our server for Virtual Hosting is located in VDI (moving to Verio). Our dedicated servers we have good deals on are located at UUNET VA. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

What is an IP address of a server there? I'm interested to test the latency of your location, and without an IP address, I can't do that.

Who actually owns these dedicated servers? I asked this in another thread, but I'm still curious. It seems a bunch of people are offering the same exact servers for various prices. I'm wondering where the servers are coming from. Will you be working directly with UUNet? Or through someone else?

No, I have no relations whatsoever with Version12. I gave their IP address because they are about 4 cabinets over. They are within 30 feet of us. However, I do not converse nor use Version12 in any way.

Why give us IP address's for version 12's servers, if you are in their facility why dont you give us IP address's for servers in your cage/rack!

Seems as if your trying to avoid something, would make me kind of skeptical.

Maybe that's why? Although I'd have to say that telling people to ping version12's servers without at least asking them first is a little bit rude.

Hello. We just signed a strategic partnership with a company which has a cabinet and rack at UUNET VA. We asked them to send me IP's of servers that are located at UUNET VA, and they gave me those. When looking a bit deeper, Version12 is located in the facility as well. We do not have a deal with them at all, and we do not disrespect them in any way. I hope I am not "sneeking" around anything, and by no means, am I trying to be "sly" or deceitful. I hope if anyone has questions, they will call me at 914 912 7992 instead of "flaming the board".

So, how is everything now? It's been two weeks and do those servers actually arrive? Has anybody received his/her server? I have somebody that is looking for a good deal that I can't afford it myself, so I remember about this post and just wonder whether you still have any server left.

BTW, I also wonder whether you can give me any IP so that I can ping/traceroute? But of course not Version12's IP, possibly the IP of the company you have strategic partnership with?

Anyway, let me know...
