Symbolic links will not work! They only work if the symbolic link was created from a folder in the apache documents folder. So If I made a symbolic link from my desktop and dragged it into the webserver documents folder it will not work!
I would get the forbidden page with error 403 I think.

Has anyone running Mac OS X got the symbolic links to work for the libarary/webserver/documents/ folder?

Options FollowSymlinks
in .htacces or httpd.conf might do the trick

I just make them in the folder. I think it's some sort of bug. Have you tried the Apple Support forums?
