We had a local Internet Expo. I introduced my company to some webdesign companies and offered them a free account for testing, good reseller prices, uptime guarantee, support etc. Now we are receiving alot of new customers from them. Our markening is directed to the local market, face-to-face meetings etc. Also, a developer (wich offers free service - counters) asked for a free account with 30GB/month transfer. Our banner is located at each page withinh his site and we are receiving alot of visitors. Now I'm planing to order advertisement at 2 of the web hosting directories (budget - about $600/month) and I will post back the results. CrazyHostGuy 05-31-2001, 09:41 AM I personally swear by Google's AdWords program... www.google.com As long as you keep your keywords very specific (i.e. don't just use "web hosting" or you'll get way too many impressions in a short time, and your hit ratio will be very low), your ad will run longer, and be seen by a more targeted audience. You can start with just $50.00, and see how that works. Good luck! Rob. Get-Hosted.com 05-31-2001, 01:04 PM What words would you recommend? CrazyHostGuy 05-31-2001, 03:39 PM This is up to you, as it really depends on your target market. Some suggestions are: website hosting resellers discount web hosting reliable hosting solutions Adjectives are good to use. You will likely want to refine your keywords to tweak your campaign. Good luck! Rob. superiorhost 06-01-2001, 02:46 AM Hi, Your waisting your money on these pay per click engines for the most part. Look to advertise on sites that will give you the most exposure for your buck. Look for button ads... Not banners. Pay for search terms... it is a gamble. I have had little success with it, and it seems to be the lowest return for the money spent. Tim L  Lonny 06-01-2001, 03:39 AM I wouldn't recommend to use google or goto.com - just a waste of money because of the competition, uness you are willing to pay $3 per click. <<Admin edit : post edited for breaching forum guidelines>> SI-Chris 06-01-2001, 03:54 AM Originally posted by superiorhost Hi, Your waisting your money on these pay per click engines for the most part. The top spot on Goto.com right now for Web hosting will cost you $5/click. I can't believe there are companies that are willing to pay that much for someone to click on their link. I'd be interested to know how many clicks-per-day the top spot for "web hosting" on Goto gets. |
