It would be nice if we offered 50 IP's for free, I agree.

While were at it let me add 2GB of memory for no charge ;-]

We really do not sell servers or colo that way. We sell it by the Mb or GB of Data Transfer.

Sorry....

I've so many praises about ThePlanet that even though I don't need a server i'm still tempted to get one from you.

I have one question though. You just started offering Cpanel for $45/mo but as you get more Cpanel servers you will most probably reduce the price of Cpanel. Will that reduction also apply to those who get the server right now?

And are these fully managed?

These servers are unmanged, but they do include full monitoring and full hardware replacement which many companies call managed.

The question about Cpanel has not been covered yet. Simply because our first goal was to start offering it. This will be addressed as we get closer to the qty. required.

I just ran a test ping on theplanet servers, and i had my customers run them. Some live in TX other all around the world. Min ping time was 130ms and a lot of time outs and packet loss. So becareful people!

Boy you gotta love it when people just come right out and bash you on a forum. When all your doing is trying to post a good service.

What is your freinds name who is having the suppost problems on the down loads. If you are asking me if it is true or not I would not know because I am looking for a customer named friend in our database and can't seem to find one :-]

Having had dedicated servers at rackshack, dednow, nocster, and united colo I can tell you that I am happiest with my experience so far at theplanet.

one word comes to mind "professional"

universal2001 I have seen some of the horrors that you have had to endure on this board with providers, if you are looking for night and day difference you should give theplanet a try...honestly!

SeanK, the ATT line is filtered and doesn't return pings so when the traceroute goes over that pings just aren't a good way to test them. My monitoring went off once because of this but the server was NEVER and has NEVER been down so that may be one of the reasons for your results. I can't say enough good things about them.

Hope you are doing well Quan.

The promo is running at least through March. It really depends more on the availability of servers.

Thank You,
