Hi,

Are there any credit card processors out there that allow the seller/webhost to enter the credit card details of customers? or, atleast provide the webhost with the name on credit card, credit card billing address and IP address? The most important thing is that I want to know the name on the credit card, and, if possible, the IP address of the customer who submitted their details to the credit card processor.

Is any of the above possible without actually having to get a merchant account?

Thanks.

paysystems give you the name and IP of the customer.

I believe "virtual terminal" is what your looking for for entering your own sales in manually.

Have you tried 2Checkout.com?

They provide you with all the details you asked for in your post.

thanks guys. So, 2Checkout provides me with the cc number, cc name AND IP address? That's excellent.

You didnt ask for processors who gave out card numbers - I dont think *any* would give this out?

sorry, I meant will they actually confirm the name against the card and provide the host with the name? Some processors don't bother doing this.

Yes, you normally get a nice control panel to monitor transactions.

We do not allow "virtual terminal" processing.
Once your account has been marked "clean" we provide you with the AVS codes, the CVV2 codes, the IP address of the customer.
This is in addition to the customer Name, Address, email address and phone number that automatically comes.

We've used VeriSign's PayflowLink product for six months, and have been very happy with it. We've chosen to offload the SSL stuff (and hence security-related liabilities) to VeriSign, but there is a simple mechanism to return customer information to your site.

Others have commented on VeriSign's registrar capabilities here. All I can speak to is what I've described above. It was easy to set up and integrate into our site. You also get a transaction terminal for capturing funds, producing reports, and manually entering transactions. As a developer in a previous life, I might improve the reporting capabilities, but otherwise, we're quite happy.

I am NOT affiliated with VeriSign in any way, I mention the above only in response to this thread.

2checkout.com is good but not good for medium or big business since you have to pay too much.

anybody tried http://www.echo-inc.com/, free merchant account, transaction fee is 1.54%-2.59% compared with (%5.5 transaction fee + 0.45/each transaction).

of course, the drawback is you have to pay monthly fee, but it's waived if there's no activity in that month.
if your business has a large of volumn of transation, then checkout.com is definitely not good.

for ex: $10,000 you pay %5.5x10000=$5,500 + 0.45xamount of transaction = $6,000

echo: %2x10000= 2000 + 0.30xamount of transaction = ~$2,500 :)

one more thing is echo give away their credit card processing software that let you customize what types of cus information you want to store. is that cool?

they're using supercert ssl from thawte which is the highest level of ssl. you know some old browser such as IE 5.0 won't work with 128 bit ssl from verisign or other ssl issuers because they only support 56 bit or lower.
but this supercert works for all. there're millions of old browser like that on the world, so 128 bit ssl is useless in this case. i used to come across this situation when i used computer in my school.

ouch, so many of these 3rd party billers have such high prices, they basically become a partner in your business and horde over customer information so if you decide to leave they own everything and you're screwed forcing you to tell your customers to sign up again which can be a hassle. Serious people, stay from 3rd party and ipsp, it cost more. If you look at authorize.net or netbilling they they charge far less. I know netbilling charges 1.1% and 15 cents a transaction. If you do high volume they offer a 45 cent flat rate. Even more, if you pay 80 cents a transaction they provide customer service....i made a major mistake going with a third party. When i out grew my third party and was forced to look elsewhere , they owned everything and i lost alot of customers who didnt want to sign up again ....dont make my mistake
