I am starting my own hosting business, ZOOL Networks, and we will be providing managed, dedicated and shared hosting solutions using custom built Linux/Windows servers and RAQ servers. We have already purchased a quantity of RAQ's from eBay, but we need a source that can sell us brand new RAQ's, ranging from the RaQ 4i, to the new RaQ 550R.

Does anyone know where in the UK that I can purchase these from ? I would imagine any company names provided are trade only or trade prices.

Also, please checkout my website if you get any spare time: http://www.zoolnet.co.uk/index.asp

(the file is specified, since the site is not live yet, it will be within the next few months, also, the site is not finished, so expect some minor glitches, the SSL cert has not been purchased yet either)

Have you contacted SUN directly?

If you are purchasing a good amount you may be able to get a deal. As I understand it the Cobalt line will be replaced by a new offering later this year.

Nice website. You may want to check that you're allowed to use all those logos on your "Network Infrastructure" page, or you could get some nasty letters from nasty lawyers

Just out of interest, which datacenter are you going to be using?

Hi !

Thank you for your compliments on my site....

The logo's were taken from the "advertising/media" sections on most websites, although I will check before I go live. Every legal aspect of the site needs to be sound before I go live.

I am building my own datacenter.

At the moment, I have converted my garage (full size, front of house to back) into a secure datacenter. The room has only one method of access, and thats through one door, which has a keypad/swipe card access control system. I have a security system monitored by BT RedCare, with vibration sensors, multiple 360* sensors on the ceilings.

I have a fire control system also, which at the moment I only have a siren incase of a fire. There is always someone on the premises in the "NOC", which is my office where I monitor the network. I have multiple Co2 extinguishers in the room incase of a fire.

I am getting a 256Kbps leased line installed in the next few months (leased lines are extremely expensive), this is expandable up to 2Mb, when I would need to get a fibre line installed....

All servers are housed in 42U BlueLine racks, with locks, the room is also airconditioned to 75*F, a cool temperature...

You could try uk2.net but check the pricing carefully, it's actually per week and the displayed bandwidth is for a whole year.

?

I run my own datacenter and hosting business, I dont want to use other's....

I just want a source where I can purchase the RaQ's for use in my datacenter (e.g. suppliers, distributors (trade))
