Artashes 03-02-2003, 01:40 PM Yeah I can't reach it as well. Oh well... ;)
luxline 03-02-2003, 01:45 PM I smell a little rat. 200,000 clients (or 2m?) and 100 staff.
ok, 3 shift system 7 days a week, plus management, administrative staff, sickness, leave cover, lets say each shift has 25 workers. Thats pushing the limit, but just for arguments sake.
25 workers, 200,000 clients. Lets say a bare minimum or 1 ticket per customer per month, thats 11 tickets per worker per hour, constant.
Sorry, doesn't add up at all.
BS
aressindia: Whilst many people love to exaggerate, WHT is a tough place for BS, and a bit of honesty goes a long way. Even if you're a 14 year old one-man band working in a wooden hut, you'll get business, just be honest.
aressindia 03-02-2003, 02:07 PM luxline - We work on very heavy ticket boards with sometimes over 2000 tickets on it at a time. And yes, its true that each of our guys can do over 10 tickets in an hour. We service, as of today, over 200,000 domains of which over 100,000 belong to a single hosting company alone. Unfortunately, we are bound by NDA's which do not allow us to share the name of any of our customers. This one client of ours, is ranked among the worlds top 10 hosting companies.
That apart, I appreciate your keen sense of arithmetic. Our site is down just now, however, when it comes back, I hope you can look it up to see our offices and some of our senior employees photograph. Please dont treat this as an attempt to snigger at you. Just clarifying. Thanks Mate - Have a nice day.
luxline 03-02-2003, 02:25 PM Ah, 200,000 domains. Thats a bit more like it. I currently host some 27,000 domains, and thats nowhere near 27,000 customers I can assure you.
However, 10 tickets an hour is still way too much for "quality" support.
And there is absolutely no excuse for having your main website down. Would you like some help with clustering or mirroring?
