Hi, I need an host for my website which will get an estimated 600gb a month in bandwitch costs. This is because the site is an adult entertainment site, it is likely also that when short movies are on the site that the bandwitch will go up even further. I reside in that United Kingdom but whoever offers the cheapest host, with the best support, good profile of past customers and can prove they can easilt manage that level of traffic will get my business. I have already had some quotes already but stumbled acorss this forum and was very interested in the "unlimited bandwitch" discussion and i seen quite a few interesting views put across from people in the industry so now i am asking for people to make offers to host the site. Main requirements below:

* 600gb bandwitch per month (expandable if needed)
* 400mb hard drive space MIN
* 99% uptime at least
* Profile of other high bandwitch customers prefered
* E-mail and the rest of the ****.

I think you should supply an idea of budget and what not.

It seems like a lot of tranfer, you need your own server.

For that type of transfer Ball park between 600$ - 2k a month depending on the host and what not....

One thing I would like to ask people that require this level of hosting is "are you making that kind of money from this site?" With the money spent for hosting a site using this level of resources, I sure hope so....

Maybe you'll want to give http://nexus.net.pk a try for us? They do offer unlimited bandwidth :eek: , and their biggest Unix account has a 550mb disk space cap on it. All for under $40 a month.

Whatever you choose, let us know who and what you are paying for it. 600gb sure is a lot. You'll need more than a T1 for that (dual-T1's would be enough and should cost in the same neighborhood as JBIZ718 mentioned -- $600-$2k)

It's an adult entertainment site and offcourse he is making a lot of money with it.

Don't try to sell him a shared hosting account. He needs a powerfull dedicated server with 1gig RAM and SCSI Harddisks.

Isn't that obvious?

http://www.tera-byte.com do very good deals on bandwidth. Don't go for a cobalt though it would die before it got to that amount of bandwidth. Try one of there other servers or even better co-locate your own machine there :).

Is he making money....haha yeah no joke its an adult site, of course he is making money especially if he is pushing that much traffic. I have some customers that push 30-100gig a month and they make a damn nice pretty penny off they adult sites they run.
