Can anyone point me in the right direction to some blogging software such as that used by www.livejournal.com/ or www.pitas.com/ ?

I'm having a hard time finding the publishers of this type of scripts :bawling:

TIA

Everyone pretty much uses MovableType or GreyMatter, but I much prefer b2 (aka cafelog).

I'm looking to offer this service to my community so I need a complete solution for a service provider rather than a single installation. So anyone can signup and create their own blog.

Automating the installation of b2 should take about 30 minutes worth of coding in PHP, it is painfully simple. Just edit their already written setup scripts to intergrate into the control panel you offer your customers and modify your control panel to limit how may one can have.

I like B2, very easy to setup and simple, low overhead :D

Thanks for the responses but there is no 'control panel' to integrate it with. I'm looking for a complete solution where a visitor can easily register and create their Blog direct from my website.

I found one, Trellix, which is used by lots of big names such as Lycos but thats WAY over my budget!

My favorite. :)

It won't help you though, but maybe someone else reading this post.

Livejournal is open source, check http://www.livejournal.org.
You can also take a look at http://www.xanga.com . They sell licenses of their software.
