Further proof, that no matter what type of investment capital or company infrustructure you have, in todays volitile .net economy, there are not any sure bets...

Conference call has expired. Wish they would have kept it up a bit longer. Looks like they left it up 5 days.

First they will move to another datacenter.
Second, they probally will have to raise prices?

First they will move to another datacenter.
Second, they probally will have to raise prices? Maybe, but Aperian selling their data centers doesn't necessarily mean either of those will happen. If they're sold, the data centers likely will remain in operation -- the article says the expect "business as usual," for whatever that's worth. Maybe prices will go up, but it's also possible they'll go down.
I am a big fan of aperian, and also own stock in them, this latest news not making me too happy. I'd consider a successful sale to be good news to stockholders, personally.

That just means "don't panic and start pulling out your servers, we need them to look attractive for the buyers we are courting"

I found this information on their site to be more revealing:

Inter-company cost and product synergies will allow for a stepped-up profitability timeline for the combined company. As such, the company will remain on track to meet forward guidance.

Anyone who uses that many new economy buzzwords in the same paragraph is going for a total snow job.

translation: we are totally f***ed

I'll bet that going forward, they will also be developing new sales paradigms in order to focus on reaching low-hanging fruit after they open the kimono on their new business model. Rolling out a CRM initiative is also in their future project implementation schedules as they determine new ways to increase stickiness and incent their customers.
