Anyone else notice a few hosts now post transfer in MBs instead of GBs??? Saves 'em the 24 MB I suppose.

Also the numbers look more impressive, "10,000 MB".

Flashtechnics,

Don't be so hard on yourself. You aren't dumb. You didn't know or forgot a question about computers and you asked it in a forum where most people should know. At most, you were uninofrmed or ignorant (in the actual meaning of not knowing ). We're all ignorant of many things.

Now, if you want to see really dumb posts here, even stupid, check out Slamming Post and Why Is it? Compared to their posts, you are Einsteinian.

Chicken, I agree. However I list it as MB as well so what does that say about me? I think that for some of the less net literate, listing in MB's is easier to understand.

flashtechnics... you aren't definitely that dumb. don't think for a moment you are because "a fool that knows he is a fool isn't that much of a fool after all" !!!!

similarly, "a fool that doesn't know he is a fool is the biggest fool of them all" !!!!

to know you are ignorant and to make an attempt to seek knowledge is definitely a smart thing to do !!!!

so, by the above reasoning, you're smart !!!!

oh... i forgot

this is very basic, but since you asked...

1,024 Bytes = 1 Kilobyte

1,024 Kilobytes = 1 Megabyte

1,024 Megabytes = 1 Gigabyte

1,024 Gigabytes = 1 Terabyte

is the spelling T-E-R-A-B-Y-T-E correct, guys ???

this time i'm the one who is ignorant !!!!

1,024 Terabytes = 1 ? ? ?

LOL !!!!!!

heh, actually Mike, I really don't think it is either bad nor good. No opinion. Just that I noticed a few hosts changing to this (ones that used to list transfer for Package A at 1GB and now list it at 1000MB).

I also see that they list bandwidth used in bytes (through a server control panel), so to the newbie I am sure this is quite enough to confuse them, heh.
