I just came across GlobalHosting.com's webpage and they seem to have some good deals on dedicated servers. Has anyone hosted with them and any comments on them?

And dedicated and SMART support technicians. imediaweb 06-13-2001, 10:30 PM I have been with GlobalHosting for almost one year and have been really happy with their service. I started out with a Reseller account and moved to a dedicated server just recently. It has been smooth sailing ever since. I would recommend them highly. bljohnson 07-21-2001, 02:04 PM Actually - I've been using their shared hosting instead of dedicated and it's been great (and yeah, actual knowledgable support staff - not just a phone answering geek). The only problem I'm having (which is starting to turn out to be serious) is a routing issue with the host box they've got my account on. It seems as though the route from the box is "incorrect" to some hosts (in other words, it routes the packets to some strange router near atlanta and all traffic stops). They can't get to me, I can't get to them . I'm a little miffed knowing that my site (and my email) is currently not working for some people though. Other than that - they've been pretty good! (oh, and they said it's a network issue with the owner of the router, and not globalhosting thats causing the routing problem). - Brent |
