coders goto heaven
Crackers go to hell
rippers goto a copy of hell
and hackers force their way into both.
===========================

I hate people that want to resell warez, hell they get it for free, so it should be free all the way. Go on google and search for divx and warez, you'll find something......

A lot of computers have a DVD/CD-ROM drive, which can read both types of media... I know that's what my computer has. You might check about purchasing one of these if you can't afford a DVD player.

I know, but I get sick of people tring to make a profit off of stealing software. I personally have used pirated software, but if I use software for business or for me to make a profit I buy it. Its an ethics kinda thing...

That has to be the one of the most idiotic statements I've heard in a long while. You bought a DVD, but don't own a player? So get a VHS copy, no matter if you own a copy downloading a copy through the internet, that you didn't actually encode will still get you in legal trouble. Please, don't you have any better excuses? How about this one "We need a divix download movie (only private ryan) will do to uhh test the uhh quality of our networks."

Actually that does sound a bit stupid, I bought it back when I went on a trip to Oregon. to see my uncle, he sells DVDs, and it was his last copy, if you want to see the site www.discoutlaserdisc.com i thought he was going to give me on of his many dvd players so lik a hen counting her eggs before they hatch i bought the dvd, bc it is my favorite movie....

You could get a DVD player for your comp for $30. Speed doesn't matter if it's only for DVDs... the actual DVD only reads at 1x speed.

Well I think in certain situations the movie companies couldnt care less what happens. For example, look at places like Saudi Arabia. Their modern shows are mostly religious shows....and if not that then it's things like Three's Company and Gilligans Island. They dont allow American movies to be sold there.

However, there are tons of Americans working there who want to see modern stuff. These are the ones who will buy and download illegal copies of movies...and do you blame them? They are making $300 per hour, but stuck in the 50's..LOL

When you sell illegal movies there, you arent stealing from the production since they cant sell there anyway. This is the way to Americanization there....eventually the demand will become so high in their population that the Saudi Governments will become more lenient and allow sales there that we take for granted here. Hence, the movie producers are probably all for their movies being distributed illegally in countries like that. I'd bet Turkey is much the same way.

That's how Coca-Cola and many other American products made their way into the country and then eventually allowed. The sales of the products on the black markets became too demanding...

This movie rocks! It's definately well worth the 10 bucks to own a special edition copy..

I don't have much of a chance to go out and watch movies, I'm to day busy, but since I can download movies and watch, it has encouraged me to go buy the DVD versions when they come out, so I can enjoy the movie over and over again in better quaility. Same thing with MP3s.....
