Hi,
I'm looking for a e-commerce package w/Miva Merchant. Can anybody recommened a modestly priced host? Also, I have a related question. I do not want to open a merchant account at this time (I don't think the costs would be worth it yet), so are there any alternatives with Miva Merchant? Could I somehow still accept credit cards and manually charge them over the phone or by other means in order to save money? Hopefully, I won't have to make my customers sign up for PayPal accounts. This doesn't seem professional in my opinion. I'm still learning about all this, and any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Rick

I would suggest you take a look at www.crystaltech.com. They offer great features along with a Miva Shopping Cart on their top plans.

They have good pricing and good support as well.

You may wish to check out Intuit’s credit card processing arrangement with Surefire. Users of Intuit’s Quickbook Pro, can sign up for credit card processing for free and there is no monthly fees. Their transaction fee and rolling reserve is compatible with other card processing companies. Transactions are processed via the Internet but through the Quickbook Pro software. Be aware that this service is relatively new; they may still be working/smoothing out the logistics.
