I was wondering if anyone had any information on enebling WAP. WAP being Wireless Application Protical. We would like to add this functionality to our services but do not know how it works exactly. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, I have some knowledge about it.
I can tell you this, it's a total waste of development money and time. Nobody uses it, and if you read an article in those Mobile Communications magazines (any one that runs a survey and study), you will find that less than 5% of the people actually make use of their WAP-enabled devices.
So if you're thinking about making some WAP-ready content... don't bother.

I have a friend that knows how to make a WAP enabled Apache server and a little on the content side of things.
Send me a mail at xtstrike@aol.com if you are still interested.
I could also send you the section you require in your httpd.conf to simply paste into yours if you are running apache and your web server will instantly be WAP enabled.

WAP. The word alone makes me laugh. I've got one of the nicest phones money can buy, and it still makes the idea of a wireless internet a joke! Try AIM on a cellphone. That will get your mobile phone rage to about 100%.
The only thing I plan to do with WAP, is offer our customers access to their site statistics and a few other options via their cellphone. I think this would be cool, although i doubt anyone would ever use it more than once or twice in a year...
