Hello, I am looking for assistance, or rather partners to go into business with upon siging up with alabanza... This will help water down their costly startup fees, and monthly fees... But don't worry, I asked many of the isps currently going through alabanza, and they said they made there money back within the first month... That is, they paid a years worth, withing one month. I have a domain name in top rankings on yahoo and google. Check out intersurge.com they are a company that started up with many partners and went through Alabanza and they aare highy successful. Contact me back by replying, and lets make the big bucks!

I am interested in what you are going to do.

We have investments into several different companies, e-bizness solution companies, data centers, and others.

If a investments are something your looking for, I would like details and what not.

I think overall alabanza is quite expensive and I think there are better solutions out there.

Hi Brett,
You mentioned InterSurge, so I thought I might as well reply :). At present time, yes we are at Alabanza... but we are planning on moving shortly. Their network is good, their software is great... However, their support can be very slow, and there is also one other very important thing: Over the past few months, we have lost our trust in Alabanza. And of course, as you know, trust is the most essential thing in this type of relationship.

Recently they eliminated the "Site Creation Tool" from the control panel, giving us only 4 days notice to inform our customers. We didn't want to leave any of our customers "out to dry", so we are giving each customer that requests it personal assistance with editing their web pages and finding a suitable alternative. The reason Alabanza gave for this was that they were unable to reach a financial agreement with the creators of MaxPages (the site creation tool). However, Stephanie from HostMatters.com contacted MaxPages, who said their financial arrangement with Alabanza has not changed since August 2000. This is just one example of the issues that we've had to put up with.

That's not to say the overall service is bad- as I said, their network has been good, and so is their software- but they are lacking integrity at this point, and also do not seem to know how to communicate with their clients.

Anyway, I wish you the best of luck in your venture. Make sure to get everything on paper before you start. If you have any questions that I can help you with you can send me an email @ brian@intersurge.com.

Good luck!

Hey guys, thanks for contacting me back. I will gather up some information on different choices we have, give me a few days to put it together, and I can email you guys personally with all the information we need. InterSurge:.. Are you moving to the new CPANEL? Like Hostmatters.com? I have heard bad stuff about alabanza's customer service as well. If anyone has any suggestions, please post it here on the board, or contact me at mikehick@pacbell.net... I am looking forward to doing business with you guys. Let's do it together, have fun, and make some dough...

Correct, we are going to be moving to the nac.net data center, and using cpanel as our control panel software.

I would be interested in starting a web hosting company with a couple of people.

but alababnza isn't that good.

we should use CPanel and Web Host Manager and the nac.net is a very good data center to use, pwebtech.com, site5.com, and many others use it.

well let me know what the details are.

Minor correction:

We are not moving completely away from Alabanza, and will retain servers there.

Carry on...

If any of you are looking at doing this on Windows, I'd be interested in joining in.
