Thank you Take a look at qmail and the mailing list manager http://www.qmail.org http://cr.yp.to/ezmlm.html Though they may be a bit more heavy-duty than you're seeking. Jedito 05-28-2001, 03:27 PM how about subscribe pro? I use to work with it before (in my other work) and we send every week 30.000 emails. XTStrike 05-29-2001, 03:40 AM make sure the people you are sending to have allowed you to send to them or your server will get black listed (RBL) and then your mailing list is skrewed tortellini 05-29-2001, 01:40 PM Hi, I'm using subscribeme pro enterprise. it works fine... allows double opt in (which I recommend)... the only thing is the price... 300$ for the enterprise version are really not cheap. greets, tortellini everyone 05-29-2001, 01:55 PM Thank you. I plan to have around 2000 email addresses on the list. Will my Linux server (700Mhz processor, 128 megs ram) be able to handle the load if I send the emails when the server load is not to heavy? tortellini 05-29-2001, 02:06 PM right now I'm using subscribeme pro enterprise on a VIRTUAL server (iserver.net). about 7000 recipients, 7 newsletters, daily frequency. and the cpu usage is quite heavy 24 hours a day (coz of the other users on the server i think). therefore I do really think it should work... but of course I'm not good enough to promise you that it will ;))) |
