Is anyone out there on a rackshack.net Cobalt? I have been down for a while now and it seems as though their entire network is down. I can't ping my IPs nor will their web site come up.

rackshacksupport ICQ is OFFLINE
I don't have a support Email - Anyone have it?
www.rackshack.net is down

Anyone else having this problem?
I'm hoping someone out there would possibly know what's going on and if not hopefully have a contact email.

my guess is that Rackshack are suffering from the same growth problems Tera-byte/4Webspace had. Arent i glad i didnt jump ship on 4webspace the network there now has been a rock. All them that bailed from 4webspace cos of downtime will feel pretty dumb now :)

What were the problems?

at 4webspace??

They had problems with hardware and connections. Least now when they are under a network attack now it last no longer than 15 minutes. I think the RackShack network is becoming bottlenecked.

They're saying in their chat room that it's a router problem.

How long did it take them to fix the problem? I'd hope that Rackshack would read forums like this and try and learn from other peoples mistakes.

ALL ISP have problems now days.
I am not happy either but what can you do?
You can move and then they will have a problem, so do you just keep on moving? Not a good idea.

took them nearly 2 weeks to solve it completly. Then we had a month of bad connections now perfection

Yesterday, I could hardly upload a 5k file to my server at Rackshack without the transfer timing out, or taking 10 minutes to complete. Today, I couldn't access my server at all (for an hour+).

Seems to be back up now though, albeit it seems somewhat slow. Called their tech support phone number, they said it was a router problem and they didn't have an ETA.

Let's hope they can sort this out successfully.

I just contacted RackShack about the down time the other day, this is what they told me today, Tue.the 29th.
======================================
I know we had some downtime due to a
DOS attack on Saturday afternoon, someone flooded the network with data and
we had to knock it offline then repair the network problem it caused.

I have used Tera-byte for months and never experienced an outage of more then 15 minutes...
