Hey,

Here is what happened, today someone signed up for a Professional Account. I checked it over, and it looked okay, so I sent the link to the email address so he could continue the billing process. I guess he got it and started. A little bit later, the person caught me on MSN, and told me the card was declined. He said it was because his card only supported world pay. I told him we only used 2 checkout(I know, shut up already)

Well, what he did next caught me by surprise. He offered to pay for he Worldpay account, all 600+ dollars of it. I told him I really didn't want to, but he kept on plugging all the info in. When he told me it was all done, I was worried... I really didn't want the WorldPay account, plus, I was worried it might not be his credit card.

I dunno, what I should do. I did a IP trace, and a telephone lookup. The Area Code + Exchange for the Telephone are from Texas, the IP is from somewhere near New Jersy, and the Address is listen in Ann Arbor Mich.

I tried calling VISA, and the guy there told me he had no ability to actually verify info, but he gave me there merchant support number. Since I don't have a merchant ID though, I could not use the system.

I am thinking of calling world pay and getting them to refund the whole account, but I am not sure if they will do that... I was also thinking of calling the police, but am unsure of who exactly I would call. Then I could always call the number he provided.

I looked on google for the guys name, but couldn't find it. I found a restaurant with his last name and tried calling there but no answer, most likely they are closed.

Anyone have any ideas?

If his CC was declined, I would contact 2checkout and ask why? That will help you on one problem. Another ask him for his phone number and call him up, ask him if he actually did want to pay. That should be enough to help you out. Good luck mate!

A credit card that only supports Worldpay?
That's a new one.
My guess is that 2checkout got better fraud prevention then WorldPay.

I'm missing something here if you can only acept 2checkout. How did you take a WorldPay payment?

I do agree you should contact 2checkout for specifics regarding the declination. Shelve the order and do some checking on the registrant.

Hmm, ask for a Cheque or Money Order. Better yet, if you have Paypal, ask him to do it via paypal.
