I have taken a dedicated Linux server lately and to my astonishment it is not a piece of cake to manage the same, can anyone of you guide me to good resources for commands and procedures on how to manage my own server, I would be really thankful.

Hi Kamil, well, managing a Linux box is not easy if you don't know Linux. My suggestion is to buy a Linux book. I have personally used one called Red Hat Linux Bible. It is very helpful, but it is about 1400 pages long.


On the other hand, you can get some type of control panel/management software. I don't know if you are familiar with Webmin, but it is free and it is very nice. You can find more information here:
