Hi, I've read all the featureprice posts.... one week too late!!! Wish I knew about this forum before. :bawling:

Anyway, screw them.

I'm looking for a low-price hosting/domain/everything for a non-profit org. Something like 50meg's, 5-10G transfer/mo., 3-5 emails, *nix hosts preferrably. Any immediate suggestions in the 5-10$/mo. range? These people don't have money to blow on comparison shopping.

Sorry about your experience with Featureprice. Seems they have been defrauding a lot of people lately.

I'm currently hosted by http://www.intretec.com and I find their hosting to be reasonably priced with good support.

You can also do a search for hosts on http://www.hostsearch.com and check out reviews (and even double check a host here on WHT).

Good luck! :)

Yeah, I've been trying hostsearch and checking each name here. There's just so damn many names to try, and I'm feeling paranoid after a week of trying to get a hold of featureprice. Checking out intretec, thanks....

You can always put something in the hosting requests forum. In that price range, you shouldn't have any problem finding something.

Good Luck! :D

I wouldn't bother with the Requests forum. No quality host will answer there as it's cheap price contest between the kiddies. Just browse this main, click on the "website" button in people's posts and have a look through some sites. If a host has a forum, check that out too and when you have a shortlist, do a search here and ask for feedback. :)

Well I can partially agree with that...it is a haven for lowballers...however, ocaasionally I will post in there with my regular pricing and see if I get a bite.

As it is a non-profit org, you might post some information on it and get a special deal or even free from someone.

That wont be hard to find with a *quality* host, and it sounds to me like you are just completely at the stage that I call "information overload"
Very easy to do with too many choices.
Best of luck!

Hi yinrunning,

You might check into Findmyhosting.com. They're a hosting directory that is not owned by a web host, so you won't find any "top picks" that are basically paid spots.

I know you're on information overload right now - hoboy, do I know that feeling - but this directory is a good place to start looking. Find a host that you think may fit the bill, do a quick search here to see if there are any negative comments, and then give it a shot.
