Randy 05-25-2001, 04:09 PM I don't see that graphic now nor I have ever seen it on yahoo. greatgraddage 05-25-2001, 04:42 PM I see it, how disturbing..... ::stickout eddie 05-25-2001, 04:51 PM I see it, but it just makes me think could they have both bought that image from some place like photodisc ? c0bra 05-25-2001, 04:56 PM OK yeah I see it when I boot Netscape. If you already have an account with Yahoo then you wont see the graphic. Anyway I hardly think one graphic warrants much discussion here? Akash 05-25-2001, 05:00 PM hate to always compare things like this to tacidhost, but i think one major graphic is all it took for them. If it is something small(like an e-mai me button) then it might be ok Jedito 05-25-2001, 05:10 PM Originally posted by akashd hate to always compare things like this to tacidhost, but i think one major graphic is all it took for them. If it is something small(like an e-mai me button) then it might be ok Well if you call that a major graphic then I'm afraid this board will be flooded with more and more posts along these lines. Akash 05-25-2001, 10:52 PM how can you not call that a major graphic??? I wish companies would enforce their TOS and that people would refrain from using others' graphics, but that is never going to happen. Chicken 05-25-2001, 11:04 PM Has a photo disk look to it, don't it? rockergrrl 05-26-2001, 01:09 PM I've seen those girls sitting on those chairs before on eyewire or photo disc.... But the world isn't apart of that pic.... determinist 05-26-2001, 05:27 PM Originally posted by c0bra OK yeah I see it when I boot Netscape. Just delete the cookies. bigmattyh 05-27-2001, 12:57 AM I think it damages the overall credibility and professionalism of a site when you see stuff like that pop up. Yeah, maybe one graphic in itself may not appear to mean that much, but if a company plays fast and loose with copyright considerations, then they probably don't have their whole house in order, either. But then, if it's a photo disk, no worries. Although it's a lot more likely that Yahoo creates its graphics in-house considering the fact that they'd probably have to pay huge royalities otherwise. pseudo 05-27-2001, 02:01 AM OMG! I wonder if we can sure yahoo.com for this? well maybe not... |
