I get this offer for a second-hand
1 Year old
Cobalt RAQ-2
256MB DRAM/10,2GB HDD/dual ethernet/SCSI

Price: 750 US/Dollar
Is this offer good? What is the normal price?

You may also get a RAQ 3 start from $99/month.

Try visiting eBay and search the completed auctions for recently-sold RaQ2s. That should give you a feel for what the "market value" is on these servers nowadays.

If I were going to buy a used RaQ, I would go for nothing older than a RaQ3. The RaQ2 is just too outdated (and the fact that it has a non-Intel-compatible processor doesn't help either).

I bought one 6 months ago similar spec, Brand New for $400 USD. He is asking too much. I can buy a RAQ3 for $100 more. RAQ2's will be difficult to keep up to date soon, so get the RAQ3. Just my opinion.

Agree... not that a RaQ2 doesn't have a purpose, but it sounds too high and I'd just get a 3 or better...

Thanks for your answer.
I have looked around on the European market for an new RAQ3.
The prices are in Europe (very) more highly.
Can you inform me about an address in the USA where I can get so an cheap, new RAQ2 or RAQ3?
An import is being worth-while for me.

To those that have asked, I was offered a RAQ3 for $850 USD, some months ago, which was secondhand, and it was a one off, so I can't export any qty's. Sorry.
