View Full Version : 1000Gb dedicated for $49/month
DimiPunk 02-20-2003, 03:41 PM pleeeeease remind me the URL, I really need it now.
They are not as reliable as RackShack but I need a lot of bandwidth.
there is an ISP in the US, the offer Celeron based servers with no sign up fee and 1000Gb of traffic for just $49/month.
And please don't tell me it's not possible - they do exist and they are good.
Cheers
Dima
Hormigo 02-20-2003, 03:44 PM maybe in your dreams
eddy2099 02-20-2003, 03:52 PM How do you qualify your statement :-
They are not as reliable as RackShack but I need a lot of bandwidth.
and
And please don't tell me it's not possible - they do exist and they are good.
Then again, at $49/mth how do they actually make money ? That is just under $1.70 per day.
sprintserve 02-20-2003, 03:54 PM No. In my dreams. I will be offering that in my dreams :D
Anyway, I never seen anything like that before. Not that it will surprise me anymore. But you can probably try FDC as they are possibly the only one that can match that.
Hormigo 02-20-2003, 03:54 PM and i want a dual xeon with 100mbits no-cogent, only tier-1 for $30/month lol
sprintserve 02-20-2003, 03:56 PM Hormigo,
I keep that in mind the next time I dream :)

UC offered something along the lines of 200GB a month at $49 a month... but those havnt been in stock for ages.
klisis 02-20-2003, 04:01 PM I've seen this guy at rackshack forum, Heh. He asked the very same thing.
He may just be playing.
sprintserve 02-20-2003, 04:08 PM Ya. So we are playing too :)
propcgamer 02-20-2003, 04:24 PM i thought we wernt allowed to harass people?
doobie 02-20-2003, 05:22 PM unitedcolo used to have a 3000GB/month for 199 which approx $66 for 1000GB transfer but that deal is gone
mainarea 02-20-2003, 05:24 PM UnitedColo has 1000GB of transfer for $99, not $49. If you need 1000GB of transfer and can't afford it, there's seriously something wrong with your business model.

mswordman 02-20-2003, 06:39 PM They still do, and I'm not a bussiness so sorry fellas I'm intrigued. I just got a bunch of my gamer friends to try and rent it.

VNPIXEL 02-20-2003, 10:41 PM once again "ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN AT WHT"
mainarea 02-20-2003, 10:45 PM If you don't need a dedicated server, there are a lot of hosts offering "unlimited bandwidth" :D .
mrl14 02-21-2003, 12:10 AM Uh how can this company offer 1000GB of transfer AND allow adult material?
http://www.unitedcolo.com/servers/enterprise.htm
this is unreal. Are they reliable?
Neo3Net 02-21-2003, 02:09 AM Do a search :)
sprintserve 02-21-2003, 02:15 AM Also they only have Willaims. Which on the pricing scale is close to Cogent. At the same time, the ports are capped to 10mbit. Ultimately, it's how tight they pack their lines. For example, just to give an extreme example, I can claim to offer unlimited bandwidth, packed 100 boxes on a single 100mbit line. It means that you will probably have trouble even getting 1mbit of transfer out of it.
freakysid 02-21-2003, 11:18 AM 1mbit is too much for most shared hosting servers :)
I remember the days when leasing 1mbit was considered to be bulk around here - enough for half a rack or more :)

They have hosting packages for $49 with 1000GB of bandwidth...
I need to search for the name though...
If it helps... it was a homepage with yellow in it...
Vladimir S. 02-21-2003, 08:52 PM Wow! I want to buy UnitedColo for $29 setup:D
