I've just gone over the bandwidth limit of amhost, and I don't want to pay a fortune for excess bandwidth.

I need a new host for my site. Specs I want are: Account Control Panel, Site Statistics, 50MBs of space or more, 12GB of transfer or more...

Help!!!

I Just left TACID:D (It is sad they seem to try, I think) but moved to one that was more of what fit my needs. Seems they are simular to yours. So anyway look at f5hosting.com They had me running in an hour, just waiting on DNS trans now.

I've heard a good word about http://www.aletiahosting.com/ also. Never tried them though.

Can get bandwidth over the 12GB you need but the price isn't anything to write home about.

Gad, Ro, I never thought you'd remember Tacid's name. It was a long time ago!

Ne ways, about lahlah.net, I suspect he/she's another poor victim.. uh wrong word... customer of Tacid. Although I can't say too much about the values this person has learned from hosting with Tacid. It taught him/her to rip off other site's content.

Oh, well...

I guess, at this point, I should wish Shang good luck (since his site is down again). Try other business different from hosting. Like selling cookies or something. At least with that kind of biz you won't have to trouble yourself with customer support or copy somebody else's work.

Now, this isn't sarcastic, it's a genuine suggestion. Shang really does seem like a nice kid, but his values have been sorely misplaced.

Looks the same to me but can not complain as I was one of Shangs first and have never had any problems with him. He has always had my sites up and running. I have seen his boards come and go as they get covered up with bad reviews so I know a lot of people have had some real problems there. It seems most of them came when he tried to offer UNIX, at that point support did go to hell. However he seems to have worked through those problems and is running a half way good thing now. I have never found anyone cheaper so if your nice to him and don't complain all the time he will bend over backwards to help you. He will also get scripts for you and help set them up as he has time for it. However patients is the key to it working out for you with this host. My sites (6 of them) have been up 100% of the time for 5 months now. Just be nice and it will work for you.

Nah, I've always been nice to Shang. But it doesn't always work that way.

The contacts are still under Shang's name, aren't they?

Yea that is still with Shang and have had no problems with it at all.

lahlah.net does not belong to Shang. It belongs to KOO but Shang registered it for him and he resells for tacidhost. He also took Shangs design and Shang is not happy about it.

lahlah.net is still tacidhost tho.
