I think hostany is running on a wworks line, if so then it's either PAIX or He.net's fault, most likely due to a DDoS attack.

It is down. Only been an hour for me though...

It was initialy a WWorks problem but now the problem is entirely on Hostany and/or the datacenter they are in. FYI: Hostany receives a single feed line from WWorks.

Well it's not the datacenter because we have servers in the same one also on a wworks line (different than hostany.) The problem was with PAIX or He.net not wworks like it usually is since when the pings started spiking to 300ms the problem was seen at he.net's border router with PAIX.

It's not HE or PAIX.

An hour and 15 minutes of solid downtime and I have yet to hear anything regarding the issue. Do they have a phone number? It's time like this where I absolutely hate providers that host their own site.

We're working on the issues now, at the beginning, it was due to wworks’s routing problem and it was affected on the 69.1.71.x block, to all the customers on that IP block, we’ll take the responsible of the downtime and we’ll credit of the monthly fee for the next month as we offered on our SLA, we’re sorry for the inconvenience that the downtime caused.

Services expected to be back in 30-60 minutes, for our customer, please contact support@hostany.com when our network is back for the credit of the downtime.

Please also free feel to PM me on the board and I'll keep you updated.

By the way, we'll be adding a Verio pipe pretty shortly at the same rate, that will eliminate the downtime.

Sorry once again for the inconvience of the downtime and we'll keep you updated.

Dathorn-Andrew

Yes it does. I was wondering why all the sudden I could not access it, again. I'm about done with this...

Hostany Web

There's still a routing problem on that IP block, it was up for european again for about a minute and then went down again when they router is full loaded.

They're still working on the problem...

They've finally taken our advice and looked into the MFN problem, for some reason, MFN were blocking all the traffic going through one of our IP block and that caused the downtime for that long. We’ll be sending a formal letter to our customers regarding to our service and how we can prevent such things to happen again.

To our customers, please contact support@hostany.com tomorrow until next Tuesday in order to get the credit that we offered on our SLA.

Thanks for your patience during the network problem.

Best Regards,
Hostany Support
