How good is this panel when you want to install additional programs like rpms for jserv / or tomcat for eg.

Also the config files like httpd.conf it creates are they too customized to the control panel.

Also has anyone used sucessfully Webmin along with cpanel/whm .
I might get a server with cpanel/whm and was wondering if i could use webmin for things like Mysql management and Dns, Installation of perl modules directly from cpan, installation of rpms,
Something that webmin does very well.

I don't know what the answer is but in general you don't want to install any other server management software with another control panel.

I dont think you will need to install webmin to do stuff like management of mysql & installing perl modules whm/cpanel can do that as well. As har as httpd.conf goes i dont thing it is much custimized for cpanel, I am saying this beacuse we our selves have successfully installed stuff like iASP on all our servers without any problem. But I can not say much about it because I am not a sys admin.
