Hello. I am looking to take on some basic “Webistration” responsibilities. Mainly, I could help you answer and/or return customer emails, perform some support for you, tweak on some websites, do typing and/or data entry, do marketing, do research, perform some simple web designing, and manipulate graphics.

My fees are reasonable (I charge about $10 an hour… “about” = negotiable), and I am at my computer basically all my waking moments. I live in the US on the west coast (Pacific time zone), and I have a landline phone, cell phone, fax machine, copy machine, scanner, digital camera, and use basic, standard software programs to include MS Office suite, MS Publisher, and Adobe Photoshop. I have two basic, stand-alone computer systems setup and running, each with the following: 500MHz AMD K6 3D Processor, 40gb HD, 256mb RAM, 3D Navigator nVidia RIVA TNT2 64 Graphics Processor, Windows ME OS, Broadband cable modem with firewall, 250mb Zip Drive, a CD Player, a CD Burner, external and internal modems (backup for when cable goes out – a rarity, but has happened on occasion), and a basic sound system.

I currently am a webmaster/administrator (“Webistrator”, I call it) for a few websites using MS FrontPage 98 & 2000; I am fairly familiar with Cpanel, and have had hands-on experience with WebPPliance. Although I don’t know HTML well, I can work in it a little. I am not a “graphic artist”, but can tweak and manipulate existing graphics to suit any purpose (i.e., remove people or things from a photo, take out backgrounds, put backgrounds in, remove red-eye, lighten/darken, recolor, come up with ideas for use, create basic animations, etc.). I know a little bit about a lot of things, but by no means a professional computer guru. I’m the first one to admit this computer business is an ever-learning adventure!

I am a proficient typist (approx. 70wpm), use good grammar, and have an excellent command of the English language. Although I am a very good speller, I am also a firm believer in “spell check”. My end results are near-perfect (I am also human!), and I am proud of my work. I am polite, respectful, and believe in responding to people in a timely manner. I have good work ethics. I am honest and dependable, get along very well with others, and also have a good sense of humor. I have extensive experience working at a computer helpdesk; I’ve worked customer support both on the help desk and in the field, have worked with remote application tools to assist customers remotely, and have uploaded and downloaded all types of applications, programs, and various media.

I don’t feel there is any job too large or too small for me – I am not afraid of learning new things, and I am a quick study. If you have other areas you need assistance with that I may not have much experience in, if you’d be willing to train me I’d be willing to learn (can’t hurt to ask!). I am available full-time, part-time, weekends, and holidays; I’m willing to work on short-term and long-term projects, as well as on-call. If I am ever not available, I would let you know ahead of time so alternate arrangements can be made.

If any of my skills could be useful to you, or if you have further questions, please contact me via a PM. Thank you.

No, I don't. Why do you ask?

Probably because he wishes to contact you to discuss further :)

Possibly so - I did not want to automatically assume this. If that was the case, perhaps he can reread the last line of my post where it states, "If any of my skills could be useful to you, or if you have further questions, please contact me via a PM. Thank you."

This is why I asked "Why"; I wondered if he:

a) wanted to know if I had these capabilities because of a possible job requirement, or

b) if he doesn't know how to PM, or

c) maybe he doesn't know what PM means, or

d) if he just didn't read my post.

Whichever it is, I'll leave it up to "hotice007" to say. ;)
