Adds this host/reseller to the "do not use list."
WTHisUPwidU 02-18-2003, 12:39 AM wrong forum, I think you meant to post this in the advertising forums.
eprodigy 02-18-2003, 12:40 AM I don't know if your trying to get feedback on your plans or what, but it sounds like an advertisement.. shouldnt this be in shared offers?
You should probably post in USD, I doubt too many Australians on here, and USD prices sound better since an AUD is more then a USD.
ozpacific 02-18-2003, 12:44 AM I have already tried to post it in the Advertisements, but it keeps telling me that i can only post 1 advert every 5 days. Why is that?

Matt

I would love to ask you a question here. WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM. You dont even know me or the business, and your downing it. Your the type of people that i do not like. A discrase to the forums. I'm sorry, but it's true. Haven't got anything nice to post, don't post it at all.
Regards,
Matt
eddy2099 02-18-2003, 12:47 AM Matt,
If you read the RULES , you would know why and what you can do. http://www.webhostingtalk.com/misc.php?action=forum-rules

Yeah you got that right!
How can anybody make those plans work without some serious problems? Wonder how long it will be before their clients come to WHT crying about downtime, capped bandwidth, poor customers service, servers yanked for non-payment, etc.....
ozpacific 02-18-2003, 12:52 AM Listen, if the advertisement part of this forum would let me post this, it would be in their right now. As for some reason it wont let me post it, so i posted it in here. I have a good reason to post this in here. By the way, yes i did read the policys.
Regards,
Matt

Thanks for showing us all your business side.
esystal 02-18-2003, 12:56 AM Dear Matt:
Good evening Matt!
I think it would be best if you delete your post.
WHT does not allow advertisement in this forum.
Curtis H is an advanced user here, he offers honest and truely advices. I am sure he didn't mean to hurt your business. Look at the icon beside the title of his reply, it is nothing serious at all. ^^
I hope you will find WHT useful to you!
Take care!
intellec 02-18-2003, 12:57 AM Man that $5.80 AU and the $32.50 AU plan looks like a bargain. Exchange rate of approx 1.7 per US Dollar. That makes it $3.41 US for 20 gig and $19.12 US for 90 gig WOW. ozpacific are you sure you want to price that way? You may want to look at your numbers again.
ozpacific 02-18-2003, 01:01 AM intellec,
listen here for once in your life. If you reckon my customers will be crying, sookin' or what ever is bouncing around in the little square minded brain of your's, why isn't anyone complaining about Extreme-Hosting, HostPower, or any other web hoster???????? Please explain that to me, cause i am confused. They host around the same as what i do, like price, bandwidth, space, support, and they have around 500-600 customers. All happy to what i can see of in their forums. Oh, thats right im in Australia, ok then what about OzSphere Internet Solutions, in Australia around 150 customers, same as Extreme-Hosting. So don't come to me with that load of rubbish, to put it politely. One thing i hate, as do most business owners, people DOWNING my business when they dont know anything about the business. I dont care if you go crying to the Administrator, because if you done this to someones else's business, i'm sure they would be doing and saying more than what i am right now.
Thats ALL i ahve to say.
Regards,
Matt

Matt,
Are you saying that because you disagree with the policy that you decide deliberately to break them ?
What is the good reason that you are talking about here ? I just cannot see it. Maybe it is obvious to you but it is not to the rest of us.
If you initially posted in the Web Hosting Special Offer and need to make changes to it, why don't you just Edit the entry ? If not just wait for the 5 days to expire and post again. I am sure that those who are interested in your plan would obviously be able to see it and response to it.
As for the pricing, it does seems ridiculous low. Would you be able to provide the level of support which you promise and also if your client used the bandwidth allocated would it still be profitable to you ?
Another thing, if you are running a proper web hosting business, why are you using a hotmail email address ? It does not look professional.
Curtis H. 02-18-2003, 01:07 AM A host using a hotmail address? A www link in your profile that is either down or does not work. And on top of that, you fail to obey rules of this forum. Your "downing" yourself.
I love it!
intellec 02-18-2003, 01:09 AM ozpacific:
Good Luck. I'm sure that if you promise to stay in business (with those plans), many of your competitors will be happy to send you some of their real special clients.
ozpacific 02-18-2003, 01:09 AM esystal,
Can you please explain this. How is supporting someone FULLY, that is going to put MY business in the "do not use list.", that suposedly offers honest and truely advices, be not hurting the business???? now, how would you like it if i said all of this stuff about your business?? Don't say "Nothing", because you would do something about it. No this is not my business side, i am a very politeful person, but when someone does this to me, then i'm in a angry mood.
Regards,
Matt
Curtis H. 02-18-2003, 01:13 AM Blame yourself. Not others. ;) Want to continue?
intellec 02-18-2003, 01:14 AM All you webhosts, help ozpacific out and give him some of your clients that can really use his services. I know you all have a list.
ozpacific 02-18-2003, 01:15 AM Curtis H.,
If you read my the first post, you will see that OzPacific isn't opening until MARCH, yes MARCH. So therefore wouldn't that mean to you that we are still setting up the servers, etc. So the e-mail wont be operational until MARCH. I'm not downing myself thank you.
Regards,
Matt

eddy2099 02-18-2003, 01:36 AM Matt,
Just some advise. If you intend to use your domain name ozpacific.com.au , you might want to register it before you find out that it is not available when you get your business set up.
ozpacific 02-18-2003, 01:39 AM Thanks for that.
But just registered it today at Melbourne-IT. They said it takes about 2 hours.

Matt

eddy2099 02-18-2003, 01:59 AM Matt,
Since you already made your business known, why don't you just set up a 'Watch This Space' page on your server. It wouldn't be nice for those who see your post and decide to visit it and see nothing at all. Besides this will allow you to tweak your server and ensure that everything is up and running to support your 99.9% uptime guarantee. It would not be good to find out on the launch date that something is missing or misconfigured. It will affect your reputation and 99.9% uptime guarantee. You might want to also check with your server provider on their uptime guarantee. Some like Rackshack does not policy any guarantee although they would do their best to keep the server up as far as they can. If they have a guarantee and SLA, it would help because at least they would compensate you for downtime and in turn you could compensate your clients in that situation.

ozpacific 02-18-2003, 02:04 AM Ok,
It takes around 24 hrs for the NameServers to reconise the new domain. Only because the domain name has just been registered.

Matt
propcgamer 02-18-2003, 02:05 AM yay flame war!:D
eddy2099 02-18-2003, 02:08 AM Matt,
You might want to remove the IP address since it is the URL to your ENSIM Administrator screen.
ozpacific 02-18-2003, 02:09 AM Ahh,
Gonna try and lag my server, eh
Good Luck!

Matt
