Go a few things going on with WHN.
The server name is global.domain.com
When I go to http://global.domain.com and it doesn't resolve. Wouldn't the machine have been setup with that subdomain? If not, do I set it up as a standard sub domain and point it to the base IP #?
I have another problem I don't understand:
I'm wanting to point some subs to outside servers... an outside mail server and outside news server.
I thought they should be setup as cname, but they didn't work. CNAME records wouldn't resolve. So I changed CNAME to A and pointed to the respective IP #. The outside mail server works that way but not the news server. The news subdomain just doesn't resolve.
any suggestions?
Robin
