I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed really ****ty speeds from thier UCG server. I'm getting like 30KB/s or less.

The server is only doing 300KB/s total right now so theres no way in hell the download speeds should be 30KB/s.


:angry: Have not had a single week with UCG where there wasnt some bull**** I was unhappy with.

Maybe it's time to leave them. If you search for them you'll see a lot of people have many problems with them.

do what they advise (when u ask for something like quality)... go find another host

For me it's fine since the begining.

I get many servers form United Colo and now all this servers(4) did't work from 2 week ago.

A 10MBit capped server does not send at 26KB/s when theres a 400KB/s load.... period.

Misrepresentation, false advertising, punitive business damages. Apparently all you need is to prove damages. Very easy to do, I have statistic showing the actual amount of revenue lost from moving personal web pages to the server, as well as the multiple people I have resold to who have made charge backs. With a decent tech lawyer its not hard to prove their network has not delivered the advertised service. There are also so many people they have screwed who might be willing to sign statements.

I'd never do anything like that though.... I enjoy being ****ed around and lied to. ;)

Does the 10MBit Capped line guarantee the line to yourself or is it shared among others?

Let me change my statment... they arent breaking the law. You don't have to break the law to loose a civil suit.

The reasoning is... its NOT POSSIBLE to use the advertised BW (at least from my server).

The hampster powering their router is getting tired :D

they should get a 2nd hampster and double their capacity... and then replace the hampsters with gerbils (a bit more meaty) i figure that'd increase capacity atleast 25% on top of that... :)

I haven't had any problems with bandwidth (not that I push it that hard). 135KB/s right now, which lis not fast fast (I have 1.5Mb DSL, which maxes out around 175KB/s) but is reasonable.

My main problem with UCG is my box disappearing from the net every so often.

This sounds real wired.....

There is a mrtg off a united server :)

I can push 500 KB/s from my local SAT. conection.


I wold email support if you are realy a custumer from than our ask some one to run a test download for you... :)
