I was signed up for their free reseller program however, their control panel is lacking much of it's support database. As well the control panel still has a few bugs in it as it mixes account information which could prove to be costly. However, their support was good, Tim is a nice good and so is Matt. So my experience with them was short however once they get their software fixed up I believe they will be a excellent provider.

Personally I love the DataPhorce control panel. While I see where Perl Scriptor is coming from it has plenty of featurues and makes it very easy to add/manage accounts. I've used it the past month or two and if you are looking to resell it's a great place to start.

It's free and you can build your own plans. The only one gripe I have though is for somereason its setup so account names are generated and you are unable to set your own. other then that it's really nice.

I do agree Foo-Dawg that they do offer a great product one which I have failed to find a match for on the net, however I believe in order to conduct a good reseller business the link errors, and other error I've mention before would have to be looked after.

My best advice to anyone in them is to just try them out, after all it's FREE to sign up. In many cases they even give you free nameservers if you ask for them. However before taking the first step and signing up clients test and test everything in the control panel because starting out new you don't want errors that you really can't control.

I just signed up with them yestaurday. The one thing I don't like about them is there prices. $0.15 per MB is reasonable however SSL is becoming a standard feature these days and to add that on it's $5.00. To make a simple account like 300Mb with 20 FTP and SSL and 2 Mysql database would cost me about $25 and then I would have to sell it for at least $35 to make some money. The other thing I noticed is they now allow you to have your plan names set to your own however once you create them you can't edit them.

Does anybody have any more opinions about this?

It's now at $0.15 a MB? When I was there I believe my cost for MB was 5 cents since I charged 7 cents. I have all the old cost since I produced an online quote system for use with their program however I never used it because I quit. :bawling:

Yes they are! I signed up with them 2 days ago as a free reseller. Their support is good but some topics in FAQs still not working (Control Panel and Hosting Manuals and some others) so I can not get a full information about their service. In the Reseller's Control Panel there is some bug: I have 2 accounts but Discount Rate is 0% not 1% for 0-5 resold accounts. I think they are working on it :)

They recently implemented the mail templates for the welcome messages: really great feature.

I am in progress of moving some "test" account to they to evaluate their scripting features. I will post my experience here.

That $.15 per mb is the diskspace, not the bandwidth limit.
Bandwidth limit is $1 per GB(at least the last time I checked).

yakov, I know that they sell diskspace at $.05 per MB, its just that lately I have heard people saying that they have raised the rate to .15, and since the person I was replying to use the $.15 price, I used $.15 also.

their website still says .05 the last time I checked.

I'm not saying dataphorce service sucks. I think it's okay except for charging $.15 per MB. It was these other guys this user recommended before his post was removed.

I think for anyone starting out DATAPHORCE is a good choice. Their support is quick and friendly. Sure, they might be lacking some things in their help file but it's being added quickly. I was talking to their support guy, Tim I think and I believe you can get free nameservers if you request them. As well their control and customizable accounts are second to only that of OLM and other ensim hosts. Just make some trail tests first since the control panel is continuously being worked on. Other then that they provide a great service, one I may look back into in the future.

I agree with PERL SCRIPTOR. They installed two nameservers for me for free. Keep good work, guys:)

What really makes me angry is companies that offer great web hosting reseller plans and then kill you on nameservers. You e-mail them to ask about questions of way it is so expensive and they say it's maintain on them. If so why do so many hosts offer them for free? For one example OLM.net offers a great reseller however, it costs and additional 20 dollars for their namservers and DNS. It's probably not much to many big resellers but when you start up 20 dollars can be the difference between make your bills or not.

I think it would be in DATAPHORCE.com's best interest to actually put on their site that they offer free nameservers because that was probably my first question when I visited their site about 3 - 4 months ago. I was glad to here though that they just gave them away.

Lenix, I was also having problems on that page, but thought you maybe were fixing the secure certificate problem.

My personal experiece with Dataphorce over the last few days since signing-up:

1. They aren't ready for prime-time yet, definitely not for you to be reselling any accounts... they're still in beta as far as i'm concerned.
2. They definitely have something... once it works flawlessly... they'll be awesome.
3. Support... great when they're not busy? but as of late i believe they're pounding out as many bugs as they can, i hope!

-Can't setup my sites with mysql because their db creation interface has serious problems with deleting your databases if your account is allowed to have more than one database.

-My email templates got deleted

And i'm still waiting to hear from them on these issues... my hope is they're waiting to tell me that they've fixed these problems... :o
I think they should credit my account considering all the testing i've been doing to their system :D

Yes it seems to be worse... but it wouldn't be so upsetting if they would just tell us there are some growing pains, things to iron out etc.

Their cpanel has been down for... oh... over half a day...
and yes there are some SERIOUS uptime/performance issues, pages load *too* slowly, or not a all, or with Mysql Errors... "can't create unix socket, blah, blah"

I've been calling but get only voice mail.

Seeker... yes i noticed that php info stuff immediately BUT i had no intentions of putting *any* clients on this till i fully tested it and it's obviously failing...

They have an excellent idea, good prices however their cpanel and everything else just has too many little things that can go wrong. And with that said, I'd still use them once they get their cpanel working along with the secure cert. too

Anyhow, maybe they will find some beta testers for their control panel to help them iron out their bugs. I imagine they wouldn't have too many problems finding ppl since so many ppl want their product.

Their web site promises to protect reseller's anonymity. As I remember they promised to use a complete anonymous network for resellers --I cannot verify this as their site is down at the moment & i didnt get answered for my any of support emails yet

Only 2 days ago I asked them to be more professional :D :D :D

I signed up yesterday with datphorce and have visited the site many times to find they are down themselfs. I could not get the bill tab to work to add funds. They are down again now.
Do not think I can resell for them until they do better and get there stuff working but they will have something when they do..

Dataphorce made it to second on my list of potential host providers. I made my list up after reading posts over a 2 week period on this site/forum.
I was after reseller account and site accounts for clients and personal use.

Interestingly, the provdier I have chosen is moving NOC right now, so I am just waiting for them to give the go ahead so we can sign up.

For other host's reference, the one we chose were not the cheapest or offered the best "unlimited" deals, they had the best and professional responses to ALL questions asked on presales etc.

With regards to dataphorce I just wanted to know *how long* their cpanel is going to be down... sounds like a simple question but I get no response... calling or emails... i haven't been able to load that page since thursday... can't ping it... nothing.

Why can't they just answer a simple question, or even say ' hey bozo it's your problem ' but instead *nothing*:angry:

is anyone else able to get the cpanel page right now?

I think dataphorce doesn't understand something... by communicating with us they are getting valuable feedback that can help improve their product... and ultimately their bottom line... i don't like to deliver bad news either but if i'm asking you for money (and received it) i would at least be courteous...
*It's more difficult to get new clients than to keep the ones you already have* - i'd be very content to receive a call or email from dataphorce *even* if i don't like what they might say.:cool:
