Ok, ive have done a lot of reading and researching over the last week while looking for a ded. server. So now i have a couple of options. Need some advice from you guys as its obvious you are far more expienced than myself.

ok, im goin to be running game servers on this box. I know its more of a "how many clients, public/private" thing, but im just looking for over all opinions here.

1st server
-------------
2xAMD XP 2100+ Processors
Samsung 512MB DDR2100 Ram (we would upgrade to 1gig)
Western Digital 120GB Hard Drive
400GB Monthly Bandwidth
Redhat or FreeBSD
This comes with QUALITY INTERNAP (FAST!!!) BANDWIDTH
15Day Money Back Guarantee
IP: 216.234.234.31
roughly $300/m

2nd server
-------------
Dual P3 1 Gig
18 Gig SCSI
1.5 MB RAM
2 Mbps Cogent B/W or 1 Mbps Global Corssing B/W
24/7 free server reboot
24/7 free OS reinstallation
24/7 email support
Monthly: $300

3rd server
-------------
AthlonXP 1800+
512Mbyte ram
60G HD
300G BW (multihomed)
roughly $120
64.191.59.195 (nocster)

Now, obviously, if i went with the single cpu it would do a smaller load. My biggest issues are this. Im still waiting on the dual p3 ip's. (not sure why he doesnt have them now. maybe becasue i asked for one ip one both lines!) Also, the dual AMD's are in dallas. I really want the east caost, but i can deal with dallas. Now, the single AMD is on east coast. My thoughts are, do i buy basically Three single AMD's for basically the same amount as the dual AMD. Or, would it be worth saving $80-100 and just go with dual AMD's.

And, what general performance differences am i looking at between the dual p3's and dual AMD from a game server standpoint?

all three have the free control panels of some sort. Though i really dont need them. Also, they are all semi-managed!

Thanks for your time and helping me try and go with the best option

uhhh, im not selling thewse, and, for the most part, these arent public deals. Thats why i left out the actual seller. I realize that they are being resold to me, but that doesnt bother me, as i like the idea. Gives me more options for general support(usually) So, but i cannot supply you with links to any of the sites, nor emails about the sellers. hope you understand!

Obviously the two top issues are CPU and bandwidth Ping times.

Just ensure that those IP pings well. The Internap pings at 30ms for me while Nocster pings at 50ms. Of course this would varies. But I would think most will find Internap bandwidth better (there's a reason for the cost)

Cogent has been having massive latency issues recently. For about a week they had a wonderful reply, and then nothing but timeouts and high ping. They said thats because they installed a new peer. Well, that sure got them through a few days.
