Does anyone know why when changing the account password in Cpanel, the password for Cpanel is changed, but not the one for FTP?

Thanks

Click on Syncronize FTP Passwords.
That should do it.

Thanks a lot Farmer. It worked!

Is this something that needs to be done every time? I mean if a user changes the account password in his/her Cpanel, is it eventually going to synchronize the FTP password, or do we have to do it manually?

Most of the times it does it by its self sometimes you have to do it manually.Don't know exactly why that happens.

I guess another Cpanel bug.

Hey, thanks so much for the help. :)

There are so many limited resources for CPanel/WHM documentation!

Maybe it's time to create a CPanel/WHM user's group. We'll all benefit if there is one.

Absolutely, great idea.

Just consider the two different versions, VDI vs. Burst/CPanel/Darkorb. They will eventually be different, I guess.

You guys might want to check out www.hostcoalition.org. Email Annette to get access to the host-only forums, there's a forum for hosts using cpanel. Hope this helps!
