I have a client that needs ASP hosting. My current Reseller provider does not offer it. Does anyone know a good Win2000 reseller program.

I have heard about some software that allows you to run ASP pages on your Unix/Linux box. Is this true? Perhaps that could be a solution without having to open a Windows reseller account?

I have also heard of that but have been told that it is very resource intensive and most will not run it.....

Not ReadyHosting. When I used them before, support was terrible.

ASP running on a Linux box is crippled ASP ;)
If you want actual ASP or ASP.net then u should look for ASP on W2K server.

What your looking for on *nix platform is chillisoft. It is undergoing a rebrand by Sun which you can find out about here > http://www.chillisoft.com

merconline is correct though, it is pretty useless to the average or above ASP dev as it doesnt support all features and uses a lot of resources.

ill agree , without the mssql , asp is useless . I wouldnt waste my time with a *nix server if asp is what you trully need . Then again , you might want to let your client know php is far superior then that of asp and runs on both platforms

it's www.readyhosting.com
I have more than 10 accounts there, and I can tel you that if you have banwidth more than 3-4 GB/m your site may be suspended.

Only banwidth is the problem at readyhosting.com :)

In case anyone's still looking, I chose Tokios.com to handle my Windows clients and their support has been terrific. They're worth a look.
