Acsiak - Andrew 02-13-2003, 03:18 PM 1) Gyrbo, did you not recently post a question about 3rd Part CC Processors? 2) We're going to go with PaySystems & we have made up our mind finally. We've dealt with someone there called Mr McCorry and he has been very helpful in assisting us with our questions since our servers extend to various countries around the globe. Hostnix 02-13-2003, 03:20 PM In the beginning I started w/ 2co and was happy, but while I was with them I didn't get any clients, so I never actually got to use them. When hostcharge started up they had a great deal and lower rates, so I decided to start using them. During my run with them I actually got some clients, and I used them and their interface. Their system did work well. Now I'm owed money, and I really hope I get it soon. When hostcharge failed I decided to quit playing the 3rd party processor game. I turned my business into the real deal and got a real merchant account through modernauthorize. I've been very, very please thus far. I'm not stuck waiting weeks (or even months in HCs case) to get my money. Once I charge my cards and once they clear the money is deposited into my checking account... whole turn around time is about 48 hrs..... Yes, 48 hrs until my money is in my bank account. It's fantastic. genaldi 02-13-2003, 03:35 PM I'm with a real merchant account through Total merchant services. No way would I choose a 3rd party merchant with all the problems exhibited by all of them recently, I don't need to lose anymore sleep at night worrying about when/if I'll ever get my money from one of these companies :bawling:! Real merchant accounts may cost you a little more in startup fees etc.. but you'll have great peace of mind knowing your money will get to you in a timely manner :). Deb 02-13-2003, 06:44 PM We use a "real merchant account" but also make Kagi available as a third party. They are not the 'prettiest' but we've not had a problem receiving the check from them in 5 years running. We've also offered PayPal but *sigh* we got burned pretty bad by them so they are off the list at this time. As far as the more popular 3rd party processors, I have no experience (so why am I posting eh lol) CyberSol 02-14-2003, 06:55 AM I don't except CCs yet cause I haven't got enough time and money to spare to bother with it so I put everything into making the company better. Regards, a) I cannot make head or tail of your post. b) You really should get a CC processor. You'd get a lot more clients if you did, most people use their CC for the ease of it as they cannot be bothered with other ways since they're lazy. We're all lazy yes, and that is why we want the easiest way to do things - you're a human, you know what other humans want ... so give it to them! People want ease, they do not want to work hard to send their money to you. You should make it as easy as 123 for them to send their money to you, afterall - you do want it don't you? :cartman: soccernmore 02-15-2003, 10:24 PM Would like to know why so many people are voting against Paysystems while voting for 2checkout? We have a few sites and use 2checkout and also Paysytems. 2checkout = Poor service unless you can get thru to the higher ups, slow payments, alot of downtime for 'upgrades' and IMHO, is very unprofessional. Paysystems - Excellent customer service, no attitude like 2CO and pays extremely quickly. The only thing negative I can say is once in a while their site suffers technically. Acsiak - Andrew 02-16-2003, 07:48 AM I think it is 2CheckOut people coming here, voting against PaySystems and voting for themselves. No one can honestly think 2checkOut is better than PaySystems. soccernmore 02-16-2003, 11:14 PM Thats what I think also - we used (past tense) 2checkout and also Paysystems and there is absolutely no way on earth that 2checkout is better than Paysystems! Acsiak - Andrew 02-17-2003, 06:56 AM I know. There have been so many posts here about 2CheckOut being bad, I can hardly see that those people are actually voting that 2CheckOut is good! :cartman: We are going to use PaySystems soon and will hopefully be pleased with it. Once we have signed up with them and have used them for three weeks or so, I'll come back and update you guys on our experience. I'm also tempted to actually signup for 2CheckOut as well just to really see whether they are good, bad or what. There are so many bad comments here about them, but in the polls they turn out ace star - What can this mean? I personally think the owners of 2CheckOut are voting good for themselves, and possible paying others to vote good for 2CheckOut. I'll contemplate the second idea, but we'll have to see. Maybe 2CheckOut will arrise itself and become top ace like everyone is voting?! :cartman: UH-Matt 02-17-2003, 06:59 AM paysystems has been excellent for us since moving there in November. They had a few issues with some downtime but they got back on there feet and we didnt lose too much. |
