Has anyone used this web server before?
Is it good, bad?
Would you recomend running it on a high traffic windows box?

ztik, Xitami is a great server for testing out stuff on a Windows box and hosting a few really small traffic sites. I'm not really sure what you mean by high traffic but more then likely it wouldn't be good for it. Xitami is very versitile though as it has good VHost support and PHP/Perl run on it very easily.

I've used it and found it to be great for local work, I don't know how it would perform on a high traffic site. Also, the term "windows" would need to be expanded on a bit to determine this. Nusphere.com has a nicely packaged setup for this use as well, i'm working with it now, but it's only used for testing.

I've played with Xitami as a test server and found it to be very nice. I use to use it as a local server for testing my websites out. However I've never actually seen a website running on it in the wild. It's great for win9x but far as real hosting you should be using atleast nt/2k and so might as well just get the server version and use IIS if you need to for a heavy load site.

I'd have to say the same as the others. Nice for testing, but there are probably better options if you want to run a live web site.
