I am currently designing a web site for my wife busines(God help her) using pagemill 3 on a Mac 7600. Pagemill has a feature that allows you to see how your web would appear on Netscape but not on IE. Does anyone have a suggestion on how I might view my site on IE before I put it on the web? I understand that it might look very different on IE. Thanks

Put the website online, then go to your local library and load your website. You could even go to a friends house.

If you have IE on your computer, save the webpage that you created. Open up IE. Click File > Open > Browse and find the main page of the site. You can then browse it w/o putting it online!

Dogma's reply is correct as long as the pages don't have server side scripting in them. If you're using php/asp/jsp for example, those pieces won't be functional locally unless you setup the environment locally.

You will probably find that a site created for Netscape will (in most cases) work with a very similar outcome with IE. It's usually the other way when issues arise.

Unfortunately the only way to confidently check is by putting the site through it's paces via IE either off or preferably online.

I agree with Adam... most sites designed for Netscape work pretty good on IE. Designing a site for IE is different though, it could look totally different on Netscape.

I recommend you save the page to your computer, and if you have IE, open the page up with that and see how it looks.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. I don't have IE on my computer but I thinks it makes sense to download it and try out your suggestions. I don't have any scrips in my site.

Thanks again.
