Thats, why users are getting franchised NOCs from companys like VDI etc... jimb 05-21-2001, 06:37 PM Hey, Im not too sure, but I remember reading an article about the opening of DialTone Internet's datacenter and the cost to construct the data center was around 14 million USD. Thats alot of $$$$$. Now, just think....they have people onstaff 24/7....as well as network engineers, sales reps, tech reps, marketing department, not to mention the internet backbones. The costs can get into the millions per month! Also, DialTone Internet's datacenter is a pretty small one compared to the INTEL and AT&T datacenters. Jim Synergy 05-21-2001, 07:44 PM What are the average prices for other companies? Would it be better to rent one cabinet instead of renting the whole suite? drhonk 05-21-2001, 07:55 PM I woud start off by renting one full rack .. or cabinet . Why spend at least $10,000 for a cage if you're only use 2 racks .. :) Synergy 05-21-2001, 08:53 PM What if you would like to offer dedicated servers? |
