Justin, not sure what the exact error is, but it doesn't ring any bells so far...

Hi Justin

Maybe your or your customer set up APOP, which requires stronger authentication and therefore an email client which is capable of doing this (e.g. eudora). If you want to use normal pop, you'll have to turn off apop for this account.
