So unprofessional 2. So misguided Is it possible to know the name of the host to keep potential customers away from this 10-year old? adam 02-11-2003, 02:17 PM Originally posted by ub3r I think you're trying to look him look bad. That's just stupid. If he was trying that he would of gave the company name now wouldn't he of? *some people need to think before typing* cyansmoker 02-11-2003, 02:18 PM tdotn, don't auto-censor yourself, you'd be helping other potential customers by actually exposing them. I had a design cliented hosted a X hosting company, they run windows, and we now upgrading and require Unix machine..we liked their service so far so we asked if they offer Unix hosting, politely mind you.. and heres a response we got from him... quote: This is just great.. where do you find these designers that are still using this 20-year old stuff? I didn't know any of them were still living... No, sorry - we won't do it - if anything, this is DOWNgrading for us and for you. You've done just fine for all these years on Windows - what can possibly Unix do better? I think it's a waste of time and money... We can offer Windows'2000, ASP, Access, ASPMail, SQL - anything but the Unix garbage. what do you think? richy 02-11-2003, 02:44 PM lol nix and windoze arent really comparable (neither is perfect and its a waste of time picking which is better generically as both are suited to different things), its horses for courses but this host seems like a complete nightmare. who is it? Tropical Tundra 02-11-2003, 04:17 PM Hosts with a condescending attitude I hate that! Even if you feel contempt over the perceived “arrogance” of your customer at least smile and say no then maybe try to sell them on Windows so you don’t loose a client! I agree completely unprofessional. |
