Since we do not offer or plan to offer NT based hosting, I would recommend http://www.innerhost.com for your needs

they have a good reputation and host many big ASP sites.

I have problems choosing good NT hosting plan or company. Can anyone help?

Here are some plans and companies that I am interested in. Does anyone have any experience with any of theses companies? I need your advice!

1) catalog.com ( Standard NT plan $24.95) http://hosting.catalog.com/matrix.html
- Reasonable price, pretty good package
- Less impressive online support
- Free setup
- No Anonymous FTP

2) winnthosting.com (NT Personal and NT Business) http://www.winnthosting.com/compare.html
- Good NT packages
- Good price
- Less tech support
- Have not heard anybody is using it

3) DeZines.com ($29 package) http://www.web-hosting.com/nt/index.html
- Good NT packages
- expensive
- Less tech support
- No control panel support
- Cool features, but most of them are 3rd party features. Meaning, I have to go signup in another site to use those features. Even pay extra for those service.
- Expensive setup fee $50

4) Hostway.com (NT Pro $34.95) http://www.hostway.com/hosting/ntpro.htm
- Expensive
- Expensive setup fee of $50

5) Intermedia.net (Plan A $24.95)
- OK plan
- Expensive
- Good knowledge base and control panel
- No ODBC for my plan unless I pay more around $50 (plan B and C)
- Sent them some questions, but still haven’t heard from them. Just wonder how efficient is their tech support

6) Elosoft.com (Silver 19.95)
- Reasonable price
- Less online tech support
- Phone tech-support, but not 24/7
- Very small company

I know I am asking too much, but I really need some help here. I am actually looking for features like
- Support Frontpage 2000, Access 2000
- At least one ODBC connection
- Unilimited email
- Good control panel
- Good tech support
- ASP
- Web statistics
- WebForum or board

Thanks,
Ray

Intermedia has a very solid reputation for uptime and excellent support. They are highly recommended.

Understand that this is not a personal recommendation as I have never used them, but a good friend of mine has been using Central Information Services for about 3 months (I think). Their URL is http://centralinfo.net/home.asp?ref=

They are a fairly small company (which can be an advantage) and have given him great service. They have called back when he has had questions and even followed up on some things he wanted to do beyond their normal services.

Attitude is important, and he is very pleased with theirs. You might want to give them a look. I'll see if I can get my friend to post and add any more particulars.

Hello,

I also have to give Intermedia a great recommendation. I am not sure what type of response time they give to potential customers, but as a customer of 2 years, I have never had to wait more than 8-12 hours for a response.

There uptime has also been excellent. Their access is through mainstreet.net who maintains a secure cage in the above.net NOC.

I have had very few problems with Intermedia and happily pay for their more advanced programs.

Alot of my clients use their plan A accounts, and there is alot you can do, including using access databases within your site. The only thing you do is use a DSN-less connection as opposed to a system DSN.

Again, I highly recommend Intermedia!
