Anyone else using this solution? Does this include modernbill or do you need to still purchase it..

Now does anyone have this setup sucessfully with Ensim so it creates accounts automatically etc?

After this this whole hostcharge thing and 2checkout being late I would like to have a backup plan incase something happens.. I have already gotten the approval that the merchant account it activated and just need to sign/fax the application back over with a blank business check.. and just wanted to get some feedback if I could..

also I am so used to the recurring feature at 2co will this setup allow me to do this? or do we still have to manually key in each order every month? thanks in advance..

I too was hit by the HostCharge bug, and I haven't been able to process cards until today.

I just got my modernauthorize account setup today, and I've been very impressed thus far.

The account does not include the modernbill software, which you will have to buy seperately.

Since I do use modernbill it will keep track of invoices and recurring billing for me using the batch function. I believe there is an option w/in authorize.net to setup recurring billing directly with their system. I'm not 100% positive on this, though.

I apologize for the quirkiness of this post as I just got modernbill and authorize.net working happily together and all.

nope as far as I know authorize.net is nothing more then a gateway. it's your job to setup recurring billing, or batch billing, with a script. Keep in mind of course that storing credit cards on a shared server is about as insane as one can get :).

What I dont understand is my application says it is only a merchant account and I still need to get a gateway??? I am going to call them tomorrow to find out all the info but I was under the impression that this was a whole package deal.. no biggie though as long as MB works as it should and I can use it with Ensim its well worth the $$$

authorize.net is the gateway (the company that processes the transaction)
eonlinedata is the merchant account provider (the company that creates the accounts with visa/mc)

I was thinking the same thing as you when I got the email. It is a whole package deal. Fax in the document and voided check as it suggests, wait 48hrs or so, and you'll then have a happy email from authorize.net welcoming you to their system. :)

MB does have an Ensim module, so you should have no problems there as well. :)
