Which do you prefer for billing automation with Ensim:
CyDock or ModernBill and why?

I know there have been some past writings on here about these solutions, but not much answer about this debate. Or do you recommend a different billing solution that works with Ensim's WP?

Ive been looking at these solutions for a long time.

I was a few minutes away from going with modernbill... then stopped.

1. Modernbill is too complicated
2. Cydock interface is nasty
3. phpmanager is more for cpanel

We have decided to go with perlbill.
Its fine for billing and support and has a lovely interface we can integrate into our site.

Sorry this didnt answer your question about CyDock and ModernBill but we have been down the same road as you and really think perlbill is awsome.

NOTE:
we still havent bought one yet!

Matt, thank you for your input. This still may be helpful, if this is the best billing solution. Does it support automated account setup with Ensim?

No.
We were looking for auto setup but due to the way we setup accounts we have decided to do this manually still.

(Resellers go on different servers to normal shared accounts with own dns etc.. no way will an auto script do all this for us)

We now just want billing and support.. so perlbill is good for us.

If your looking for auto account creation then I would say go with ModernBill its a well developed piece of software with a lot of updates constantly being offered.

ModernBill - hands down.

I use it for Ensim--will be moving to Cpanel soon--but thats the beauty of it...will allow integration into multiple panels

Pretty interface, constantly updated (weekly to bi-weekly at least i'd say) --nice support forums, excellent product..

but pretty expensive!

Hello,

The CyDock interface is being completely redesigned for the release of 4.0 in mid march.

Sounds good acameron, any plans to speed up the panel a little ? It seems a little slow - or is that just the demo ?

Yes speeds will be increased 50% - 80%.
