I'm looking for a web host for my community's townhouse governing board. They've authorized $180/year plus whatever it takes to get the domain name registered. My son's domain was $35 so I assume that's a reasonable yearly registration fee.
I'm fluent with ASP, FrontPage, SQL Server, Visual Basic, C--that's right, nearly everything Microsoft--and prefer an NT host so I can develop using tools I know. My son is happy with JaguarPC but's it's Unix and he's using tools that I'm not yet familiar with (although FP extensions are enabled and appear to work well at first glance).
Thanks.

$35 is not a resonable amount to pay for a domain name any more. You can get a name registered with a reputible registrar for $10-$15 dollars a year. The topic of where to register a domain name has been discussed recently here quite a bit, so you should have to search very far to find a list of reputible domain registrars (personally I use Dotster.com (http://www.dotster.com)).
As for hosting, if your son is happy with JaguarPC you might just want to stick with them. I don't know what kind of capabilities your townhouse board needs in their website, but it doesn't sound to me like you'd need much more than the FrontPage extensions (if that's the Web building package you're using) and maybe some JavaScript (which doesn't have anything to do with the hosting service). NT hosts tend to cost more than Unix hosts, although $180/year *should* be enough to find an reputible NT host if you really want to go that direction.

Your thre tite contains burlee.com and I thought I'd mention that you can find comments on any host/platform by clicking the search button above (top right). This is a link to a burlee search:

Yeah, my son recommended I check here, then was astonished I didn't use the search facility. From the mouths of babes...the boy makes me proud.
Well, I think since JaguarPC has been providing reliable service for my son, then the board can give them a shot. I can always "hire" him to program Perl scripts for me if I need them.
Nice service you have here, by the way...
