I just saw this today... what do you think?

Personally, I wouldn't go for it, but interesting concept.

The fact that they host illegal content would keep me away from them. Period.

That stupid pop-up window (pop-under?) also turns me off.

Not interested. Thank you.

You'd probably learn more by doing a search on them here as that company has been mentioned before.

They're not truly free. They are no cost, which is not the same thing. Howeve,r they are up front about the conditions, ad banners all over the place.

You have to have a site that is already generating the 2,000 plus page views a day. They trade hosting for the ability to use such sites as an income medium for themselves. Some people might like that tradeoff.

I would think that the owner of any site that has that kind of traffic and wants to have ads, would rather control the ad placement and keep the money for themselves. That way, they can choose whatever host they want and still reap the rewards of their efforts via advertising revenues.

And you'll notice you must have their banners on your page for a month before they host you, and they see your Click- Thru average, so if they don't like how many hits you get, the get all these page views and clicks and don't have to pay you anything, its just a rip off to make them money....

I heard they never accept anyone cause it's a scam for them to make money off the banners.

All I can say is that they've come here and at other forums posting messages that really insult the intelligence of the reader. Search for them here and for them at http://www.freewebspace.net/forums for some discussion on them.

A quick look at just two of the discussions about them on the link that Chicken provided does indicate it's a scam and they are not being truthful about the catch.

Their web site refers to 2,00 page views a day, although that's not truly what they require. They disclose that in what they told one person with sufficient traffic when they declined to provide a server for him.

"Although your CTR was very good, the conversion rate of your clients was almost non existent so sponsors were reluctant to sign you up for a server. Please try again in the future."
For those who don't know, CTR is Click Through Rate, the percentage of people who actually click on those ad banners. The conversion rate refers to how many people buy the product or service being offered.

Thus, they are lying on their own web site by falsifying the terms and get the benefit of a month of placing ad banners on busy sites, complete with the ad revenues and sales those sites generate.

It sounds like quite a scam to me. I would consider it a Texas deal, El Paso. ;)

As Robert Heinlein wrote years ago, TANSTAAFL.

There ain't no such thing as a free lunch. Bad grammar, good sense.

Nothing is for free 99.9999% of the time. Try to avoid.. more than liekly it will be a scam or there will be a huge catch of some sort.
